I’ve shared only one perspective and I’m leaving out a lot of his personal/family information on purpose - this is info that I’ve personally verified/vetted because I’ve been a bystander when some of it has happened to him.

Yes - he has some narcissistic qualities. None of it means he’s a hopeless or helpless narcissist OR all good or all bad or secretly bad while coming off as good. He’s no victim or hero just as much as no one else in this world is.

The core of the issues at-hand with him are actual traumatic events that are all too common because he comes from an immigrant family lineage.

I know I’m not the one to fix anybody and no matter how much love there might be, it’s more than love that is needed to promote, encourage and support trauma recovery.

It’s up to him to do the work he knows needs done in order to be and have different things in his life.
