I discovered writing online (blogging) in 2002-ish.

I started on a website called Diaryland.com because establishing myself on there was easy and it was mostly just html powered to visually design/code it. As easily as I sunk into writing for an audience, I also sunk into learning html because of course I wanted what I wrote to be presented in a “pretty” way.

I had a few “followers” and the readership grew only after I figured out how to share pictures of my life to more exactly illustrate the experiences I detailed first working at a hospital and then working in hospital administration (my first salaried job) where I actually had an office of my own and I would have to regularly connect with medical directors, attorneys, insurance companies (that always unequivocally denied coverage to those who needed it the most) as much as patients (all children) and their families that fought for their best interests.

I guess the way I’m doing things? I’m blogging again after almost 20 very full years of when I first discovered it. I blogged consistently for almost half a decade on D-Land and chronicled a life of early self-discovery that included two very serious romantic relationships, establishing the foundations of a well paid career as a professional visual artist and (eventually) deciding to stop blogging.
