This happened to me. One of my dogs has a fear of men because of how my ex beat him when he was a puppy and was newly in the home we had. I was so confused why my dog was like this and they my daughter (who was very young at the time) told me he had beat the dog with a broom when he got mad the one day when I wasn’t there. It’s still devastating to know this as much as that my daughter was the one who saw it.
