How it’s going with moving an online date to a REAL relationship
Are you a fan of quotes? I used to be a huge fan of them. Somewhere along the way it got to the point where too many of them seemed empty and pushing towards the dangerous place of toxic positivity.
Then I stumbled upon this one…
“Water seeks its own level.”
I don’t know what it is about this particular quote. It’s an idiom that basically means the level of integrity you embody will create the unseen force within you that connects and pushes you toward others like you. This means that another person can either pull you to their level whether it’s above you or below you.
Some months ago, I did something I hoped and waited for months to do:
I took my boyfriend to the airport.
He was gone for just over a month on a much needed and long anticipated vacation overseas with his dad and the rest of his family. It was hard to not miss him and I am incredibly happy he’s finally able to be with them. In two whole years, he hadn’t been able to see any of them. The pandemic didn’t help things with keeping them separate and this trip is one that might be the last one he ever will have to spend time with his aging dad.
