Is it better to have loved and lost
It’s been almost six months since this started after this person hearted my profile on Hinge.
It’s a serious understatement to say how much the relationship we’ve had has meant to me.
And now it’s been almost two hours since the most amazing guy I’ve ever been able to get to know and genuinely fall in love with called me and told me that maybe…
… He can’t keep doing what and how we have been doing. And…
He’s genuinely scared and unnerved by how consistently good it’s been for him to be a part of what has been us.
Something I haven’t mentioned before is that this man — that I both like and love — - has had an incredible amount of life trauma he’s had to live through.
This includes countless failed and imploded relationships with close friends and especially women. He’s been taken advantage of and had his boundaries pushed beyond anything that anybody should ever have to deal with.
And all of the aforementioned has left him in a place of feeling like he’s undeserving of anything good that might come along or try and stay in his life. This includes the relationship we’ve had together and me as an individual.
